OK, looks broadly good -- MIDI and audio previews both retained while moving a segment, which is a very worthwhile fix -- but this is all going to take some testing. Other problems: * It does the wrong thing when you resize from the left end of a segment. This is the original problem we had in 1.0, which the bug report this all originated with was referring to. Resizing from the start is supposed to (and does) clip the events, but the preview while you resize suggests that it's going to move the events. This is worse than no preview at all. (The original "fix" for this bug in 1.0 was to disable previews while resizing a segment from the left.) It would be great to do better than 1.0 in this respect by showing the correct preview, but it's essential to do no worse. * Shrinking a MIDI segment appears to leave trails behind on the canvas (parts of the previously-existing preview are not removed as you drag). They disappear when you release the mouse button -- everything looks fine after that -- but they look rather scruffy while you're actually dragging. Can you explain why it is that the previews don't appear as you grow the segment? (The first of the two problems you refer to above.)
