MIDI sync stuff is useful, but it's not something the majority of our userbase cares about, and it's probably reasonable to fix it later, within the stable branch we're going to create (and make point releases of.) As for DSSI, I have no idea what it looks like for other distros, but it still doesn't exist for Debian yet. All the users of Debian-based distros are going to have a Rosegarden without DSSI again, and there are a lot of users out there running Debian-based distros. As such, I consider DSSI too far out of mainstream to dream of holding up a release over it. (There's not much chance of getting them to pick it up anytime soon either. I filed a request thingie for it over a year ago, and we see how effective that was.) -- D.
