I don't have a color suggestion in mind at the moment. I don't like these
colors either, but I'm sure whatever I suggest will immediately get pissed
on. I guess in my own personal stuff, I usually change every segment to a
non-default color immediately, and in the future we will have a way of
automating this kind of thing.

We're talking about templates to load for a trumpet part, for example, and
such templates would come with a color (clef, transposition, lowest note,
highest note) to affect newly drawn segments. Every such instrument would
come with its own factory supplied default color, so Rosegarden Puke Green #3
might just about disappear of its own accord without specifically changing it
as the default default.

We could, and I think I would like to supply an autoload where every generic
track/instrument has its own default color for new segments too. Just to
showcase the potential, and encourage people to discover it.

For MIDI anyway. Not sure about DSSI or audio. No thoughts about that yet at
all one way or the other.

If we change the default audio color, I probably need to be the one to put it
into effect. Nobody else is likely to find all the pieces of that hack that
brought it about in the first place.

I had that on my plate awhile back, but I shoved it off. I'd appreciate it if
someone else, maybe a user, could step in for that little bit of hackery. A
good introduction to Tinkering With Rosegarden 101 for anyone sitting on the
fence debating whether to get involved with development.
