I find this somewhat amusing.  I switched to Debian in 2001 very shortly after 
starting off with Mandrake, and upgrade problems were the very thing that 
prompted me to go look somewhere else.

I'm on Kubuntu now too.  It's a more practical Debian than Debian for me so 
far.

It has some annoying quirks, but what doesn't.  Though Dapper is not a very 
good platform for Linux audio out of the box.  (I'm avoiding Edgy.)
