It is possible to use LilyPond to produce things that Rosegarden cannot do natively. They are calculated. This and so many other problems are because we are a MIDI sequencer with a notation engine on top. It would be much easier to solve most of the problems you suggest if we were built like Canorus or MusE Score, to do no other job but to draw music notation.
