Chris, I still can't build but have been looking at the change from QScrollView to QScrollArea. QScrollArea uses a child widget, set with setWidget. It no longer provides the viewport() member as referenced in CompositionView. I don't know yet how this will translate although I note that the viewport member was itself a Qwidget so it's probably not too radical. I'm guessing this falls into your "will take more thought" category. The quick solution is probably to revert RosegardenScrollView to inherit Q3ScrollView? ie cheat?
