Ilan discovered a problem with our example file aveverum.rg, and it has been an interesting little easter egg hunt.
Open the topmost segment in a notation view. Select the first four notes, and add a slur. The slur trails off into the start of bar 2 because this is quantized notation, the last note in bar 1 extends into bar 2, and the indication duration is calculated using the absolute duration of the selection, which is evidently based on performance duration instead of display duration. Interesting. It seems a reasonable place to start is to base the selection on notation duration, not raw/performance duration (as seems to be the case). Now working out exactly where any of this takes place has turned out to be another matter entirely. I have to give up on this for now and go back to what I was already investigating. -- D.
