Friends,
I am somewhat embarrassed to admit but I have lost my ability to compile
Rosegarden.
It happened in the transition to 10.04. I have a partition for Linux and a
partition for my user data.
My Linux partition was too small, so I enlarged it. In the process I ended
up formatting the partition and lost everything on that partition. Clearly
my user data stayed in tact.
In short, I am missing something in the Linux partition and I don't know
exactly what.
(Rosegarden has always been in my user partition, so it remains in tact.)
The error message is:
cd . && /usr/bin/make -f Makefile
make[2]: Entering directory `/home/ilan/rosegarden'
sh ./bootstrap.sh
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/ilan/rosegarden'
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/ilan/rosegarden'
./bootstrap.sh: 2: aclocal: not found
make[2]: *** [configure] Error 127
make[1]: *** [.build-conf] Error 2
make: *** [.build-impl] Error 2
BUILD FAILED (exit value 2, total time: 6s)

What is aclocal??
Can anyone help me? I'd like to get back on line.

Thanks,
Ilan
