For your purposes, Ilan, you can probably just ignore all of these problems.  
Edit your ~/.jackdrc file and remove -R from the list of options, or use 
QJackCtl and un-check [x] Realtime to accomplish the same effect.

JACK performance will range from not as good to horrible, depending on how 
fast your computer is, but you skip a lot of arcane system configuration 
nonsense that way, and you probably don't really care about achieving good 
audio performance under your circumstances.

FWIW, on the whole audio group thing that keeps coming up, I've just noticed 
that on my own system, my user isn't a member of the audio group either.  I've 
been operating for untold months in this state without ever noticing, so this 
tells me there must (obviously) be some way to get all of this to work without 
being in the audio group at all.  I don't know how or why, and don't 
particularly care to explore this at the moment, but I thought it was worth 
mentioning.
