Right, it's that way for all the rulers. DEL deletes the main selection
(Notation or Matrix), not the ruler selection.
I've been surprised a few times that DEL did nothing when I wanted to
delete the ruler selection. And using F4 is not as easy.
But having DEL delete the ruler selection would be even worse. Having it
sometimes do one, sometimes the other would be yet more surprising. I
suppose it could always delete both, but that has problems too - "What
happened to my other selection? I didn't mean to delete it!"
For now at least I consider it a WontFix.
