I really don't think anyone is going to come after you for using
those. After all, they are based on copywritten (what *is* the past
tense of "to copyright"?) documents (the keyboard user manuals) based on
patented and trademarked equipment (the keyboards themselves). I
suspect the status of all of that is kind of up in the air
copyright-wise. But I guarantee you the manufacturer's want those
config files to be available and shared so they can sell keyboards.

What anyone does with that is not your problem.
I have no problem with it. But I cannot speak directly for anyone
else who has worked on those files.
