Hi,

I've had the following issues with Rosegarden:

1. Tempo sometimes speeds up during playback. I've had to set tempo
"changes" throughout my composition that are really not changes - just a
"hey, keep using THIS tempo, genius!" - just to keep it in check. It
doesn't happen every time, but sometimes I'm playing the composition,
and suddenly, in a composition with no tempo changes, it ramps up to a
silly speed while the transport shows no change in tempo.

2. Rosegarden is sending MIDI data it should not be sending. I say this
because if I start Rosegarden (using JACK) after my Access Virus KB is
turned on, I have to change the performance patch and then change it
back, otherwise it won't play what Rosegarden is supposed to be sending
it. No other composition tool I've ever used has ever done this to any
instrument I've ever used - and this goes all the way back to the early
90's. This is with through routing off.

3. Rosegarden does not keep the MIDI devices as set by the user. I have
to go into MIDI devices and adjust things after starting Rosegarden. For
example, I set a new MIDI out device for my AMT8 port 1 to "AMT8 MIDI
1", restart Rosegarden, and it's been randomly changed, to, say, AMT8
MIDI 3.

If it were me, I'd call these three items bugs. Items 2 and 3 I've
experienced since the last version on more than one machine. Item 1 was
funny a couple of times, but is getting annoying.

It's a nice program and I'll continue to use it for MIDI sequencing and
arranging, but as far as I'm concerned, I'm working with buggy software.
I'm very much at the programmers' disposal for troubleshooting in the
interest of getting these bugs fixed. :-)
