Before going to that much bother, try selecting some notes, and Adjust -> Notes -> Interpret. If they're not marked with slurs or tenutos, Rosegarden automatically adjusts the performance duration to something like 80% of the written length. > Note if you do change the MIDI notes in this fashion it can mess up > your notation, if you are using the notation editor in any fashion. If the above provides enough of a gap to satisfy, the big bonus is that it only affects performance duration, and leaves the notation duration untouched. Your notation will look the same, but the performance becomes somewhat more credible. The humanizing algorithm hasn't been refined exhaustively or anything, but I've always found it rather satisfactory myself, and not lacking for much. -- D.
