I am not aware of any. I don't know about long uptimes. I switch off after every session - why waste money on powering an unused system. Also, I rather like the fact that my computers are actually ready for use within a minute of switch-on. I agree about using the best tools for the job, that's why I use Rosegarden and (mostly) Yoshimi on a debian based installation. P.S.
