The way things are going, it does look like we need to rethink that. Perhaps it's painful, but worth it. It seems the current implementation just isn't passing muster with a lot of folks we don't aim to turn away. I'm not above encouraging users to have a go with something else if I feel Rosegarden truly isn't what they're looking for, but all of these gripes are pretty much about something we accidentally broke in the process of achieving something else. It probably could, but I don't know much about it either. I do know I've never enjoyed having to make changes to the transport layout. It's never pretty getting it back together after you break that layout to change it. It's held together with a wing and a prayer, dating back yeaaaaaars. -- D.
