I realized I hadn't been using the very latest SVN for these tests, so I built the newest changes and did it all over again with the same result a third time. When I think about it, I'm very impressed that Rosegarden is exporting the same thing byte for byte every time, and that is so beautifully clear and unmistakable that the only change from version A to version B is the one and only the one change we expect.
