I use Rosegarden 21.12 on an Ubuntu 22.04 workstation and I am very satisfied with it, I wanted to know if there is a possibility to do a simple upgrade to the latest versions or if it has to be reinstalled all over again

If you want to upgrade, you'll have to build the latest from source. It's not too difficult, but probably not what anyone would call "simple". Skim through the instructions on the wiki to see if you want to try it:

Once you get the hang of it, it will become easier.

and if, in this case, I would lose all the customizations made.

Customizations are kept in your home directory. You shouldn't lose anything. And you can keep the Ubuntu version of Rosegarden installed and run it anytime you want.
