Hi Aldo!

I created a package "Rosegarden-24.12.1" for Debian 12 64bit using Qt5
which is very similar to Ubuntu 22.04. This is the latest stable release.

To download this package, visit my website
http://www.stockinger.org/index.html
<http://www.stockinger.org/index.html> and click the tab "Musik" in the
menu bar.

It should install fine, but let me know if every works fine.

Greetings, Michael

thank you Ted and Chuck,
I don't want to risk making any mistakes, so I think I'll stick with
this version of RG, waiting for an, eventual, release on the repository.
Also because I was thinking of upgrading to the new version of Ubuntu
and, thus, restarting from a clean system.
Thanks again for the answers and for your work.
Aldo

    Hello Chuck,
thank you... do you think those repositories will be updated?

Another question: suppose I download (for example)
rosegarden-24.12.1.tar.xz can I install it on Ubuntu 22.04?
And, if the answer is yes, do I have to delete the 21.12 version
    first?

Sorry for all these questions, but I don't want to create a mess
    for myself!Â đŸ™„

    Have a good day,
    Aldo

        Hi Aldo,

assuming that you have installed  RG 21.12 using apt-get from
        the
        ubuntu/debian repos

and wish to continue to do so, you would have to wait until
        the version
        is upgraded in those

repos for the ubuntu release you are using. Building the
        latest version
from git is not too hard

if you use the build-dep install (build dependencies) to
        supply all the
        required packages.

Clear instructions for building from scratch are provided on
        the RG website.

        Good luck.

        Chuck.
