I made a boo-boo. My enthusiasm for our ID & Routing project got a little ahead of me on Friday, when I announced a forum for discussions at the June X12 meeting in Minneapolis. As way of background, Peter Barry and I have been looking for possible ANSI ASC X12 subcommittee sponsors of a Face-to-Face meeting on the Healthcare CPP Registry.
Unfortunately, I misread the first "we'll look into it" response as an invitation to the party. In any event, arranging and planning a session will take a bit more discussion, and I will let you know the particulars once they have been settled one way or another. I have confidence that one or more X12 subcommittees will be able to accommodate a Healthcare CPP Registry forum. X12 - along with its individual members - has been a committed partner and supporter of the UN/CEFACT and OASIS ebXML process. It's probably reasonable to assume that X12 will be favorably disposed towards our efforts to apply the ebXML CPP and Registry as solutions to some of the problems arising in the rollout of standard X12 transactions within Healthcare.
