It sounded like the key-stuck-down variety to me - that would explain 
why it continued when the emulated machine was reset.

Sometimes problems like that can be fixed by making the affected 
application (i.e. RPCemu in this case) lose the input focus, holding 
down the 'stuck' key and then giving the application the focus back...  
Although, to be fair, I've not had this strategy work for the few apps 
I've suffered such problems with, and I've not (yet ;) had this problem 
with RPCemu.

I suspect the problem will be at the Allegro level, if so perhaps a 
workaround ('reset emulated keyboard' ?) can be wedged in there?
