Why don't you use ucd-snmp (HRstorage) with mrtg , that will then get the
info for you every 5 minutes via snmp
Then use something like 14all.cgi to view the graph's

Of course the above would be a lot of work if this is only for one machine.
But we have over 300 systems , and use the above.

Subject: [rrd-users] Graphing file system usage

Hi, I am new to the list. I am currently trying to use rrdtool to graph
several
things in my computer (I run linux). I was wondering if it is possible to
consolidate
in one single meaningful graph, file system use (ie: how full the FSs are
compared to
their sizes).

For example, in one machine I have the following:

Filesystem FS size Free
---------- -------- -----
/logs 3014656 2889384
/foo 2626880 1844604
/home 262144 196176
/usr 770048 114720
/var 98304 59388
/tmp 131072 105224
/ 32768 14700
/root 32768 31392

Of course I can just graph as GAUGE each FS with the Free column value, but
this
is meaningless unless I have on the same graph something showing me that
particular
filesystem size.

Is this possible - practical?

Thanks
