Hi Tony,
I haven't followed all the discussions. What I am missing is the
definition of an endpoint identifier. Is it the name of a device
attached at a certain location, i.e. an ephemeral identifier for that
box (not interface) because it can be replaced by others and so that
name is not permanent? That's just a guess and an extrapolation from its
use in LISP according to my understanding. But it's not given in the text.
Apart from that, the definitions seem clear to me.
Hi Michael,
Along the way, we decided to separate the properties from the objects.
Thus, in defining an 'identifier', we're defining entire classes of
namespaces. Our agreement is that the object can then be attached
independently of this. Thus, one can have an endpoint identifier, an
interface identifier, a stack identifier, etc.
Regards,
Tony
