Unless I'm missing on something, EncFS does not allow you that. I should point out that if that is not what you are after, then other solutions are much more space efficient, as they do not require an extra encrypted copy. Plans for making that unnecessary are in place, but they will take some time. In other words, I'm sorry you feel unhappy with rsyncrypto. I will definitely look at those bugs when I get a chance (and sooner if you send a patch), but a simple bug report would have been just as effective, if not more.
