Yes, windows certainly isn't consistent with the errors it reports on 
these cases. Go figure.

Why are people apologizing for sending in bug reports? That is your 
contribution to the project, and it is a very valuable contribution. 
Don't feel you need to apologize.

When I fixed this for 1.07 I made a wrong offset calculation, and as a 
result the problem was not fixed. The (hopefully proper) fix is now in SVN.
