One problem is that most people didn't use the enhanced queing modes until lately. So even while the versions were out for quite some while, and there were no bug reports, there seem to be some hidden issues. I have been receiving bug reports the past three month or so and I am working to get these things straight. I consider these reports to be a good sign, as it indicates the functionality gradually is adopted in practice. Right now, I am working on a much more streamlined queue engine in v5. Queue shutdown is a very complex operation, and I have been able to greatly simplify processing. Also, there has been a tremendous amount of work gone into performance optimization, where the simplified engine will also set new marks, I think. Of course, that doesn't help you immediately. I just thought I try to convey at least some important bits of "the big picture".
