As for spinx: Does it provide mechanisms to integrate translations
(should there ever be one)?
As far as I know there is no translation mechanism available, this
should not be a problem though as we could have separate documentation
instances, one for German, one for English etc etc. If the
documentation should not be translated the problem goes away.
In my opinion, translating the actual documentation would be a waste of time.
What would be the point of translating a documentation that nobody can
use/find anyway ?
Given that the lingua-fraca of system administration is English, and the Adiscon
(a German company) has been doing the development in English already, I don't
see it as a very important problem.
Documentation and programs that are intended for users have a reason to get
translated, but if you are doing system administration of C/C++ programming you
are dealing with English for almost all your documentation and examples (and
even for the language keywords).
then again, I'm one of those "evil white guys" and an American to boot, so how
can I have an opinion ;-)
