Hello, Can the plain TCP TLS encryption supported by rsyslog work with other servers ? I mean, does rsyslog absolutely need to be present at the receiving side or can other known (popular in IT for integration in current networks) application can receive rsyslog's TLS encrypted log messages ?
Thanks, Fred. ________________________________ De : Radu Gheorghe <[email protected]> À : Fred Maillou <[email protected]>; rsyslog-users <[email protected]> Envoyé le : vendredi 30 août 2013 10h44 Objet : Re: [rsyslog] rsyslog and encryption Hello Fred, Yes, it should work via plan TCP. This should be a good starting point: http://www.rsyslog.com/doc/rsyslog_tls.html Actually, encryption over RELP is a more recent feature. The one shown above should work with older version as well. Either way, using a new version is recommended, for performance reasons and for better support. You don't want to run into bugs that were already fixed :) Best regards, Radu 2013/8/30 Fred Maillou <[email protected]> Hello, > > I would like to know if ryslog supports a way to send log >messages in an encrypted way, but without the RELP protocol. >More like the same log messages as usual, only encrypted.
