The focus on upstart-only support is the most obvious problem. One
noticeable difference is also that Ubuntu uses a dedicated syslog
user/group to run rsyslog under. There might be upgrade issues if you
have existing files.

What specific features are those? If you have such special needs, I'm
not sure if the stock Debian package is sufficient for you, anyway.
