Hi,

I'm trying rsyslog-8.1.5 on a
Linux red 3.13.3 #1 SMP Mon Feb 17 11:10:47 PST 2014 i686 GNU/Linux machine. To get the build to work I had to change
all occurences of 'libstdlog' in the configure script to
'liblogging-stdlog' and change the include reference in tools/syslogd.c
from liblogging/libstdlog.h to liblogging/stdlog.h

Is this an oversight, a mistake, maybe I did something wrong or maybe I'm better off using the git repository?

I noticed on my FreeBSD 11.0-CURRENT #1 r261643 machine, which has
rsyslogd8-devel/8.1.3 in ports r343315, does not appear to have this issue. I don't see any patches in the files/ section of the port. I can update the FreeBSD port if I know what's up with these changes.

Thank you,
