Related to this, how about: * providing N common config templates for people to (re)use so they don't have to build their own from scratch if they can find something that's close to what they need and just needs a bit of adjusting. Radu could easily provide configs for Elasticsearch and Logsene, for example.
* letting people share their configs: give them a name, enter description, and save. It would be good to index this info to make it searchable. I know a few people on this list who could provide a bit of free help around that, if needed. ;) Otis -- Performance Monitoring * Log Analytics * Search Analytics Solr & Elasticsearch Support * http://sematext.com/ On Tue, Apr 15, 2014 at 1:02 PM, Thomas D. <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi, > > Radu Gheorghe wrote: > > First of all, I think the idea is awesome. > > +1 > > Very good idea! > > > - It would be nice if you could load an existing configuration to pause > and resume working on the configuration > > - If you could load an existing configuration, let's say from v5, and > you could choose to output the loaded configuration in v8-compatible > syntax this would be an awesome upgrade experience! > > > -Thomas > > _______________________________________________ > rsyslog mailing list > http://lists.adiscon.net/mailman/listinfo/rsyslog > http://www.rsyslog.com/professional-services/ > What's up with rsyslog?
