Last week, this was not the case (7.6.4), but in the iterim some system updates seem to have been pushed for CENTOS which causes this bug (that is a pure rsyslog bug) to be triggered. We are still investigating it, but think we have now a good handle at the situation. We have experimentally brought the CENTOS 6 x64 packages online again, if someone would like to test. Note that the bug happens *immediately* during startup and NOT when rsyslog got past the startup stage. If this turns out to be the sole cause, we will stick with 7.6.5 and its changes. I still will be extra-careful in the future when planning new realses of long not released outdated rsyslog versions. Sorry again for the hassle.
