Hi, I am not sure about the current status and if I should make rsyslog-8.6.0 available within Gentoo or wait for the next release:
The current v8.6.0 release tarball is invalid, but does it only affects the test suite? We currently don't support testing of rsyslog in Gentoo. I planned to add testing support with v8.6.0 but I can wait for the next version in January. If only the test suite is affected and you are not already planing to re-release v8.6 (i.e. v8.6.1) to address this problem, I would add v8.6.0 to our ports collection...
