well, trying to take packages built against RHEL7 and running them on 6.4 is very unlikely to work

not knowing what your companies 'validation' process is, I can't begin to say what would be covered by it.

As for our missing librelp.so, do you have it elsewhere on your system? or do you need to install an additional package? (you haven't told us what packages you have installed)

Hello everyone,

I'm having trouble identifying the V7 version that could be compatible with
Relp (rsyslog omrelp output)

My company last validated V7 version is V7.4.10, but reading this thread
http://lists.adiscon.net/pipermail/rsyslog/2014-March/036989.html  I think
I won't manage to solve the error "could not load module
'/lib64/rsyslog/omrelp.so" I'm also getting on RHEL 6.4.

I do not understand everything that's stated in last year thread regarding
GnuTLS.

Could someone please tell me if there is a rsyslog v7 version working on
RHEL 6.4 with relp support ?

I tried the V7.6.7 bur I'm missing a lot of dependency  :
libgt for package: rsyslog-7.6.7-1.el7.x86_64
libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.17)(64bit) for package: rsyslog-7.6.7-1.el7.x86_64
libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.15)(64bit) for package: rsyslog-7.6.7-1.el7.x86_64
libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.14)(64bit) for package: rsyslog-7.6.7-1.el7.x86_64
liblogging-stdlog.so.0()(64bit) for package: rsyslog-7.6.7-1.el7.x86_64
libgthttp.so.0()(64bit) for package: rsyslog-7.6.7-1.el7.x86_64
libgtbase.so.0()(64bit) for package: rsyslog-7.6.7-1.el7.x86_64

Nicolas
