Hello Philippe, This is what I've just installed :
rsyslog7-7.4.10-3.el6_6.x86_64.rpm rsyslog7-relp-7.4.10-3.el6_6.x86_64.rpm Rsyslog is now working fine, with my V5 configuration file using the 'old' syntax. What led me to this thread is that I had started to rewrite my configuration file using the new syntax, but for some reason I was getting the following error: could not load module '/lib64/rsyslog/omrelp.so', dlopen: /lib64/rsyslog/omrelp.so: undefined symbol: relpCltSetTimeout Both imrelp.so and omrelp.so are in /lib64/rsyslog , dated from October 10 2014 Right now I can say that everything is working fine with the old syntax, I will reopen this thread if I'm able to reproduce this behaviour Thank you all On 14 August 2015 at 14:33, Maupertuis Philippe < [email protected]> wrote: > Redhat 6 provides rsyslog7 packages alongside the 5.8 version, you > shouldn't have to dowload them from elsewhere. > > rsyslog7.x86_64 : Enhanced system logging and kernel message trapping > daemon > rsyslog7-elasticsearch.x86_64 : ElasticSearch output module for rsyslog > rsyslog7-gnutls.x86_64 : TLS protocol support for rsyslog > rsyslog7-gssapi.x86_64 : GSSAPI authentication and encryption support for > rsyslog > rsyslog7-mysql.x86_64 : MySQL support for rsyslog > rsyslog7-pgsql.x86_64 : PostgresSQL support for rsyslog > rsyslog7-relp.x86_64 : RELP protocol support for rsyslog > rsyslog7-snmp.x86_64 : SNMP protocol support for rsyslog > > I believe you should install rsyslog7-relp : > rpm -qpl rsyslog7-relp-7.4.10-3.el6_6.x86_64.rpm > /lib64/rsyslog/imrelp.so > /lib64/rsyslog/omrelp.so > > Maybe I am missing something. > > Regards > Philippe > > -----Message d'origine----- > De : [email protected] [mailto: > [email protected]] De la part de David Lang > Envoyé : jeudi 13 août 2015 22:52 > À : rsyslog-users > Objet : Re: [rsyslog] Rsyslog V7 RHEL 6.4 Relp support > > On Thu, 13 Aug 2015, Nicolas Guyomar wrote: > > > David, > > > > I haven't realized I downloaded el7 version instead of el6 ...
