Hi everyone, Congrats to Rainer and the team for another great release.
Why was omhttp.so not built/packaged with 8.1903 (or 8.1901 for that matter)? What is the best practice here if I need to use and distribute omhttp? Build and install it myself into /usr/lib64/rsyslog? I'm wary of doing that because it might conflict with a future rsyslog update. I feel there's a policy/convention I'm missing here. Why not build and package all modules? Package size? Licensing? Is the concept that people might build/package/install their own custom modules? Wouldn't they be free to name the .so differently and then something like module(load="mycustomomhttp")? thanks, -Derek. _______________________________________________ rsyslog mailing list http://lists.adiscon.net/mailman/listinfo/rsyslog http://www.rsyslog.com/professional-services/ What's up with rsyslog?
