It has been suggested that it may help if I posted my RT_SiteConfig file so... here it is. Only the names and passwords have been removed to protect the guilty. The only thing I see that may be causing a problem (but really, if I knew enough to self diagnose I would not be here asking for help.) is that I have sendmail instead of sendmailpipe. I have tried this both ways making sure to change the next line as well to add or remove the -t. I get the same results either way. The reason I changed this was that I did not seem to have a sendmailpipe command on my system (Debian etch) however, looking at the exim4 config makes me thing I should leave it in. I am going to try running rt-mailgate from the command line to see if that works although my understanding is that that system is more for the inbound side of things which can wait a little bit.
