*Duration:6+Months* *Responsibilities:* - Own and aggressively drive forward specific areas of Big Data technology architecture. This includes data management architectures involving batch, micro-batch, and real-time streaming of data in both cloud and on-premise solutions - Provide data architectural solutions/designs to project execution teams for implementation. - Provide architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for data management. - Lead projects within architecture. Work with Product Owner/Business Analysts to understand functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and release features. - Project and solution estimation and team structure definition - Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions. - Support multiple Agile Scrum teams with planning, scoping and creation of technical solutions for the new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production. - Liaise with offshore team and clients for resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks. - Mentor and provide architectural guidance to multiple teams building innovative applications. - Drive common vision, practices and capabilities across teams. - Engage with business stakeholders to understand required capabilities, integrating business knowledge with technical solutions - Engage with Technical Architects and technical staff to determine the most appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business needs - Demonstrate broad solutions technical leadership, impacting significant technical direction, exerting influence outside of the immediate team and driving change *Qualifications:* - Minimum 10-15 years of professional experience with Data Management technologies and a minimum of 5 years of Hadoop, NoSQL, and Open-Source data management technologies. - Leadership and team management experience with ability to provide strategic planning and oversight. - HDInsight Architecture experience. - Experience in creating data lakes for AI and Machine Learning - Must have a good grasp issues of securing Big Data in the cloud including systems with PCI, PII, and HIPAA related data. - At least 3 Hadoop/NoSQL project implementations that exploit the full capabilities (discover, design, implement and optimize) – is a MUST. - Experience with cloud Big Data Solutions from AWS, Azure, and/or GCP - At least 5 Years of designing and architecting Big Data or Real-time streaming architectures - Solid functional understanding of the Open-Source Big Data Technologies incuding major Hadoop projects, Kafka, NoSQL Databases. - Have a solid understanding of delivery methodology and lead teams in the implementation of the solution according to the design/architecture. - Experience in project and solution estimation and team structure definition. - Fluent and current on architecture trends with an eye on market/technical conditions and future direction. - Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural stand point. - Experience leading customer workshop sessions to educate customers on the latest technology trends and best practices. - Proven track record of leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes. - Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large consulting projects. - Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents. - Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, and other ancillary project members. - Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff. - Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore teams. - Desire to mentor younger team members and develop their skills. - Experience working on multiple concurrent projects. - Experience leading internal initiatives. - Excellent problem-solving skills. - Be independent and self-driven. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. - Must be open to travel. *Preferred Skills and Education: * - Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field - Candidates hands on experience with Hadoop technologies. - Ability to lead data strategy assessments and technically lead implemention projects. - Certifications on Hadoop technologies is preferred. *Job Title: Lead Big Data Developer/Engineer (Looking for 10 Years exp)* *Location: Remote* *Duration:6+ Months* *Responsibilities:* · Use your technology expertise to apply and maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies within your specialized area(s) of the technology domain. · Evaluate new technologies and participates in decision-making, accounting for several factors such as viability within TCF’s technical environment, maintainability, and cost of ownership. Initiate and execute research and proof-of-concept activities for new technologies. · Lead or set strategy for testing and debugging at the platform or enterprise level. In complex and unstructured situations, serve as an expert resource to create and improve standards and best practices to ensure high-performance, scalable, repeatable, and secure deliverables · Lead the design, lifecycle management, and total cost of ownership of services. · Participate in planning services that have enterprise impact. Provide suggestions for handling routine and moderately complex technical problems, escalating issues when appropriate. Gather information, data, and input from a wide variety of sources; identify additional resources when appropriate, engage with appropriate stakeholders, and conduct in-depth analysis of information. *Qualifications:* · Hive SQL Proficiency is a must. · Proficiency with a major Hadoop Platform including security administration. · Extensive experience with Kafka, Scoop, Spark, Python, is required. · Proven ability to architect, design, and develop data pipelines · Knowledge of ETL and Stored Procedures in a major EDW (Netezza, Oracle, or Teradata preferred) platform is a must. · Experience migrating workloads from traditional data warehouse architectures to Hadoop is highly desireable. · Knowledge of data formats and ETL and ELT processes in a Hadoop environment including Hive, Parquet, MapReduce, YARN, HBase and other NoSQL databases. · Experience in dealing with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data in batch and real-time environments. · Experience with working in HDInsight environments including familarity with DevOps. · Client facing or consulting experience highly preferred. · Skilled problem solvers with the desire and proven ability to create innovative solutions. · Flexible and adaptable attitude, disciplined to manage multiple responsibilities and adjust to varied environments. · Future technology leaders- dynamic individuals energized by fast paced personal and professional growth. · Phenomenal communicators who can explain and present concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike, including high level decision makers. · Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or comparable major. · Solid foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design. · Knowledge and experience in developing software using agile methodologies. · Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents. · Ability to communicate effectively via multiple channels (verbal, written, etc.) with technical and non-technical staff.
