I absolutely agree with ya. It has been fairly easy to predict our offense, as you have pointed out. Shaud has either ran the ball or been on the receiving end of many passes (most for short gains). When SA was here, we could telegraph the offensive plays and go ahead and run them because our OL was man enough to block and create running lanes. If a yard or two were needed in a crucial 3rd down, we knew that SA would get the ball and run left. But the line did their job and the play succeeded.
I think CMS saw (in the first game) that Shaud was a decent running back and from that, wanted to draw our offense up around him. Well, the line can't block consistently and most defenses can see our plays coming. Vanilla offense? Try low fat, no sugar added, reduced salt offense. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Rusty Spoon Sent: Monday, October 06, 2003 8:51 PM To: RollTideFan-The University of Alabama Athletics Discussion List Subject: [RollTideFan] The real reason behind our struggles... ...IMHO is directly related to the coaching change.
