Well, I just came in from doing yard work most of the afternoon and I
was thinking about the game as I was working. Obviously Bama is not a
strong TEAM this year. We entered the season behind the proverbial 8
ball. In today's game, Eli Manning was simply a great QB. He was red
hot. Ole Miss came out ready to kick us right in the mouth from the get
go and was much more physical in every phase of the game, which
disappoints me as much as anything. Bama does not appear to be a "mean"
team and in my opinion they need to learn how to be one. Ole Miss may be
for real considering that the Gators just beat the Hogs on the road,
which gives them two road wins after losing to Ole Miss. Bama has a long
way to go on defense. I believe Ole Miss could have hung 3 or 4 more
TD's on the board if they had chosen to do so. Coach Cut called off the
dogs early in the 4th quarter, I have no doubt about it. Actually it
appeared if they had wanted, they could have thrown deep in every series
and probably scored 50% of the time. Our DB's cannot cover the deep
ball. I bet "pickle boy" is looking forward to next Saturday afternoon.
UT will arrive wanting to stomp a hole in Bama. The Tide better get
their act together soon or next week will not be pleasant at all.
Sorry for the ramble, but those are my thoughts.
