Do not belittle the passing of my pet. Some would say that he was only a pet, just a cat. Those who have had the privilege of being an animal's companion understand the unique bond that ties pets to their human counterparts. My cat and my dog, Hagen (13), who I put down on December 6, 2003, were just as important to me as your love that you lost.
I would expect more from a person who quotes the Dalai Lama. Instead of quoting him, pick up a few books of his and read them. I'll be glad to loan you any of the 5 books of his I have.
