Subsequent updates addressed many of my concerns, although some, in my opinion, still need to be resolved, perhaps in line with Jeff Haas's suggestion <https://mailarchive.ietf.org/arch/msg/rtg-bfd/8C4RRv8ntDXWqjvaSIZY-k7trYc/>. I would appreciate it if the document's proponents responded with the proposed update.
