Office Order
Appointment of CPIO and Appellate Authority under
section 5(1) and 5(2) respectably of the Right to
Information Act, 2005
As mandated in Section 5 of the RTI Act, 2005
following are designated as Central Public Information
Officers (CPIOs) :-
1 Shri Pankaj K.P. Shreyaskar, Deputy Secretary
For all matters being handled by the Chief
Information Commissioner, Shri Wajahat Habibullah
relating to Chapter V of the RTI Act
2 Shri Prem Singh Sagar, Under Secretary
For all matters being handled by the
Information Commissioner, Smt. Padma
Balasubramanian relating to Chapter V of
the RTI Act
3 Shri G. Subramanian, Under Secretary
For all matters being handled by the Information
Commissioner, Dr. O.P. Kejariwal relating to Chapter V
of the RTI Act
4 Shri M.C. Sharma,Under Secretary
For all matters being handled by the Information
Commission, Prof. M.M. Ansari relating to Chapter V of
the RTI Act
5 Shri D.C. Singh, Under Secretary
For all matters being handled by the Information
Commission, Shri A.N. Tiwari relating to Chapter V of
the RTI Act
6 Shri Tarun Kumar, Joint Secretary
In regard to all other matters of the Commission.
2. In case in an RTI application the information
sought relates to the jurisdiction of more than one
IC/CIC and/or relating to some policy issues, then
Shri Tarun Kumar, JS(T) will be the CPIO.
3. Till such time an Additional Secretary joins the
Commission, the undersigned shall function as First
Appellate Authority under sub-section (1) of Section
19 of the Right to Information Act, 2005.
4. This will come in effect immediately in
supersession of all the earlier orders.
