Our Group has two cases. 1. Dr. Rajeev Agarwal of Aligarh U.P. applied for some information about D.S.Degree College Aligarh to The PIO of Jt. Director of Higher Education, AGRA, whchwas been forwarded to The Principal of the concerned college. The Principal vide his letter RTI/2008 dated 11-03-2008, asked the PIO above to inform Dr. Rajeev Agarwal to contact him in person with documentary proof of Indian Citizenship and permanent address. An appeal to SIC also filled in this case on 26-05-08 2. On 19-03-08 an application under RTI moved to The PIO, United India Insurance co. Ltd., The PIO of this company is at LUCKNOW and wrote as "Please be informed that as per RTI Act 2005 only a citizen can be provided the information under Chapter || (section 3). We hereby reject your application......"
