Dear All, There is a long list of items to be looked into for election purpose. I am giving views only on 2 issues. *Ignorancs* comes under *Education*. The Govt should make FREE and compulsory education upto 8th standard. If any one, above the age of 5 years, is found not attending school, then the local politician ie, MP, MLA or councillor etc should be made responsible for this lapse. The local civilian group of citizens like the RWAs, village groups / panchayats etc must help and ensure that the govt schools located in their areas function well. The higher economic strata personnel can send their children to any school ( Govt or Private ) they like. This will give equal opportunities to all irrespective of any distinction created in our country since long.
*BEGGING *is another nuisance to be tackled. No political party has included this in their manifesto in clear terms. GARIBI HATAO is only on paper. In Delhi, Begging as well as giving alms to beggars are both offences. But one sees beggars all over Delhi. We the people, must force the politicians to eradicate begging. regards Col Shivraj Delhi On 3/27/09, muralikrishnans <[email protected]> wrote: > > Dear Patriots, > > Nice to see the list on which we need to formulate the policies.
