The Police is the pocket of SIC Suresh Joshi, as most 2nd appeal appeals
against Police go to SIC who soft peddle on the Police force, so as such the
Police have rewarded Suresh Joshi, as per my observations, i had been at one
such meeting earlier, Suresh Joshi is an adamant commissioner, who do not seem
to reason out things, he soft peddles on erring PIO's
this act of his is highly condemable,I do not know if singing the National
anthem is against the Law. it is sung at many places, as Jogesh Pratap singh
rightly pointed out this is an office where one can go to lodge their
grievences, not house tresspassing, nor can one claim it to be rioting,and i do
not think there was any rioting or assult on SIC, Krish and his team will not
stoop that low they are not holligians ,there may have been some heated
argument as 2 orders are passed by Haranaya H.C. and Delhi High court about
penalties of Rs 25,000 being made mandatory as per the RTI act, Suresh Joshi
being cornered and has taken his vengance on theses Activists.
It is time that in Public interest Suresh Joshi should step down as CSIC
or feel the heat from affected RTI applicants, who all curse and abuse him.
I have been there several times for hearings, and i know what it is like.
the office staff are courtise and helpful, and there is a coller with
really cold water to cool one's nerves, one really needs cold water at theses
places.
somehow 3 of my 2nd appeals only Rs 5000 per appeal has been slamped on erring
PIO that too to be deducted from his salary in 5 installments,
these order was passed by Ramanand Tiwari whom seem to be an intelligent man he
sees how much an applicant knows of the act,right arguments to the point is
important,my other appeals before Suresh Joshi's is still going on no orders
passed as yet,

A night at Arthur Rd jail for RTI activists

MUMBAI: Metropolitan magistrate S M Chintembakar on Wednesday remanded 11
arrested RTI activists in judicial custody after they failed to produce a
surety of Rs 20,000. The magistrate rejected their plea to produce a bail for
the same amount.
The activists-Krishna Raj Rao, Gaurang Vora, Mohammed Afzal, Sunil Ahya, Mukund
Parekh, Vijay Chauhan, Sanjay Ghadalia, K N Singh, Ravi Haldipore, Dr Shrikant
Prabhu and Pramod Kadam-were arrested by the Marine Drive police on Tuesday for
creating a ruckus at the office of the state information commissioner (SIC),
Suresh Joshi. The police were called in by Joshi after the activists protested
against his alleged callous attitude to their grievances. The police had booked
them for house trespass, rioting, unlawful assembly and assault on a government
servant. "How can meeting someone in an office be termed as a house trespass?
This is not applicable in this case,'' said Y P Singh, IPS officer turned
lawyer.
A senior SIC official said the activists should have maintained decorum as as
the SIC functions like a court. "We have been trying to accommodate their
grievances and giving them time to address these issues,'' the official said.
