Every year  IAS officers are required to submit  Property Decln in the month of 
January as per All India Service  ( Conduct) Rules 1968 Rule 16(1) & 16(2) .
Copies are required to be submitted in  two sets one copy where they are seving 
& another   is forwarded by state govt to DoPT 
DoPT has issued Circular No 11017/74/93-IAS(3) Dtd 4th Jan 1994   about   
DISCIPLINARY PROCEEDINGS will be taken against defauting IAS officers .

Govt Of Maharashtra has also issued Circulars No  Bhaprse- 4504/ Pr K 71/ 2004 
/9 dtd 26.May 2004 &  Bhaprse- 1507/1342/ Pr K 234/07/09 Dtd. 31.10. 
2007 about   DISCIPLINARY PROCEEDINGS will be taken against defauting IAS 
officers .

RTI Application was filed  on 6.4.2009 in Gen Admn Dept , Govt of Maharashtra 
about Total No of IAS officers, (b) who have filed Prty Decln (c) who have not 
filed Prty Decln (d) Prty Decln Returns  
PIO didn't furnish names of officers who have flouted rules hence 1st Appeal 
was filed. On 3.7.09 Appl Auty directed PIO to furnish names  but not Prty 
Decln returns .  
Hence, PIO vide ltr No MAA 1009/ Pr K 12/09/9 Dtd 16.7.2009 furnished infn 
about  
in Marathi names of 24 IAS  officers

a) 9 defautting IAS officers who have not filed their returns   for the year 
ending 2007.  
b) 15 defautting IAS officers who have not filed their returns   for the year 
ending 2008.
