In this challenged FAA order, the CPIO Mr Tarun Kumar asked the applicant to search the orders on the website. What they neglected to tell us is that the CIC does not "index" and "catalogue" their records as required by 4(1)(a) but leaves it upto GOOGLE (search). So I decided to use Google's advanced search features. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&as_q=&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&num=10&lr=&as_filetype=pdf&ft=i&as_sitesearch=cic.gov.in&as_qdr=m&as_rights=&as_occt=any&cr=&as_nlo=&as_nhi=&safe=off 1) ONLY 371 PDF files uploaded in past 1 month. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&as_q=SG&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&num=10&lr=&as_filetype=pdf&ft=i&as_sitesearch=cic.gov.in&as_qdr=m&as_rights=&as_occt=url&cr=&as_nlo=&as_nhi=&safe=off 2) About 154 of them being generated by IC(SG) http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&tbs=qdr%3Am&q=allinurl%3A+WB+site%3Acic.gov.in+filetype%3Apdf&btnG=Search 3) About 50 from C'IC(WB) 4) About 5 from IC(MA) 5) None from IC(LS) 6) None from IC(AD) ?? So does this mean that the figure of 1,700 disposals last month is BOGUS ?? OR does CIC need to comply with RTI Act's mandate and catalogue / index their records THEMSELVES so that citizens can be facilitated to access information at CIC. Also what happened to this e-initiative at CIC ? http://cic.gov.in/CIC-Orders/FAAD_19012009_01.pdf
