Without going into the issues on the contents of this thread, may I ask you, why Greenpeace has not come out with its proactve disclosure Under Section 4, of the RTI Act 2005? Dont expect to buy your story that your are not a Public Authority. It has long since been discussed and accepted in this as well as several other RTI Yahoo! Groups, that all NGOs who insist that Public Authorities should implement Section 4, the NGOs should set their own house into order first, with heir own suo moto disclosure, before asking others to do it. Earlier, we had asked Transparencey International do it, who partly came out with their disclosure. Even NCPRI partly did the same. So why not Greenpeace? Before you start trying to find fault with my this post, like all other NGOs who usually do, let me inform I still have the original poster of Rainbow Warrior which Greenpeace sent me over 25 years ago. Further, I also have the original french movie "Rainbow Warrior". Further, its Greenpeace is famous for saving its whales and polar bears. Just what is your role in saving some of the endangered species being sold or are put up in public display in sorry manner, in the very cities where you have offices :- 1. Spiny Tailed Lizards in Ahmedabad 2 Indian Rock Python, Chandigarh 3. Flying Squireel, Cochin, 4. Gibbons, Calcutta, 5. Various species of Bats, Pune 6. Various caged birds, Lucknow 7. Mongoose and slot bears, Hyderabad 8 ...... do you want a complete list? or photos? so that you can go into a permanent denial mode like the usual Public Authorities in India? Vide various RTI application filed with the Min of Environment & Forest, I have received not only the copies of various laws but also cases of default by NGOs working in the same field. Manoj Pai
