Dear Ahya,
Thanks for the info. I had actually already sent RTI applications and the same
went upto the 2nd appeal and orders by CIC. But the problem is, the concerned
CPIO, RPFC (Delhi South), Wazirpur, Delhi did not care to even provide the
information as directed by CIC. I have now put in another RTI application
asking for notes and orders and communications issued on the said CIC orders.
Reply is awaited. I had to do this because I could not write to CIC about non
compliance of his orders except through RTI course again. This is what I
thought.
I had in a seperate mail sent a list of grievances got registered by me on the
DOPT, GOI website but to no avail.
In routine correspondance, I find that they normally do not reply to any of our
letters or requests for refunds by our staff. If sometimes any communication is
recieved from them, it does not give the name and often the designation of the
official issuing it so that it is difficult to identify the official concerned
and talk to him on phone.
My experiance is that EPFC is the worst public sector organization required to
deal with employees. They are not even issuing the annual EPF account slips of
the employees (our grievance is that our employees did not get it since the yer
fy 2003-04), which they claim to issue the same year and which forms the basic
record with employees about their balances in this account. I wonder why this
job is better not entrusted to banks just as banks handle PPF accounts of the
public.
Best wishes,
sincerely,
mksinghal

Dear Singhal,

With reference to your post on rti_india, I think you can try to resolve the
pending status of your EPF by filing a RTI.
