Friends The point raised by Sri Dhirendra is very importnt. We can get info under RTI Act by PESH (disclosure and dissemination of information by public authorities under section 4.) and by PULL ( by citizens demanding public record). The public authorities were obliged to provide information by Pesh under section 4 (Suo Motto Declaration) on the various points mentioned therein within 12o days from the date of promulgation of this act ie by 15 Oc 2005. I do not know why are members not submitting complaints u/s 18 to CIC/SIC against PIOs/Heads of Offices of various public departments/offices bringing out the deficiencies in the information published by them on their websites for orders and penalty imposition. It is obvious that no application to PIOs are required in this case and complaint only needs to be submitted direct o CIC/SIC. I am sure this would result in very good results. mksinghal

I will like to point out an important facet that has not got adequate attention by RTI activists. There are two aspects of information flow under RTI Act PULL ( by citizens demanding public record)and PESH (disclosure and dissemination of information by public authorities under section 4.) Public authorities are not under pressure from RTI Activist regarding quality and content of Section 4 dissemination of information. This important of RTI Act is generally neglected; public authorities can get away with disclosing routine information, which may be of limited utility from the perspective of their accountablity to the citizens.
